This series is an act of digital sabotage—a deliberate inversion of the advertising space. Billboards and signs are captured on film, scanned into pixels, and retrofitted with synthetically created skies. The final image is a quadtone inkjet print that resembles an old-style photogravure. A piece of the sky, in essence, has been recaptured and given back to the viewer. Untethered from its original design, the billboard becomes a repurposed opportunity.
