On the invite of Guy Morag (curator living in Tel Aviv), over 100 artists from around the world were invited to participate. The task was to take an ordinary plain notebook—the common classroom notebook in Isreali schools—and convert it into some kind of artwork. In my effort, I tore out all the white pages and fashioned ad hoc sculptures. These objects were then inserted into real world still lives to take the place of the real object that's missing: a tie, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, etc. The final image was made with a close-up Polaroid camera using instant film.
